Introducing: OPERATION: CARING at Kid's Corner

ROMANS 12:10-13 Says:
10." Be devoted to one another above yourselves."
11."Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord."
12. "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer."
13."Share with God's people who are in need……"

Here's How it Works:

1. Think of a family that you know…..maybe someone in your neighbor hood, your church, or your community that you would like to help out.
- a family who may be struggling financially, due to job loss, cut hours, or health issues, that might have a hard time finding extra money to clothe their children.

2. Self appoint yourself (or encourage someone else) to be in charge of organizing a way of telling maybe some other members of your church, neighborhood, or community about this project that you are starting for _____________________(name of family). Maybe thru an email or a phone call or a letter. You may want to also include your children in this project, showing them what a "joy" it can be to "give" to others in need.
Then notify Kid's Corner of your intent and the name of the family you will be "CARING" for.

3. Interested people can come to (or even call) Kid's Corner in Rock Valley and "add" funds to a GIFT CARD (set in that families' name) that the family can use here at Kid's Corner to get necessities for their kids…….clothes, jackets, pj's, shoes, underwear, socks, etc. Checks can be also be sent to Kid's Corner, along with a note attached, stating which OPERATION CARING project they are supporting, and a receipt will be mailed back to them. Kid's Corner will jump-start each "OPERATION: CARING" project with an initial gift amount……and each additional "gift" will be added onto it from there…

4. After a specified date (set by your coordinator) Kid's Corner will then send it to the family, with a letter addressed to them, explaining this "gift of love".

5. A receipt will be given to each person who adds funds to the card. The coordinator will be shown an amount of all the receipts, which will add up to the total of the gift card for each family. A report can be generated for each "operation" upon request. Gift Givers will have the option of being named by name on the report or remaining anonymous.

So if you are interested in "HELPING" and "CARING" for a family in need, consider this way of Witnessing to them.
